Can freely accommodate up to 4 peopleApartment : Marisha's flat is a cozy 2 room apartment situated in a sleeping area at the north east of Chisinau. The area is quite new (only about 30 years old) very lively and largely expanding. There are many supermarkets, local shops and markets, as well as, bars, restaurants, fast food and pizzas and night clubs. The transportation system is well organised and Ciocana is connected with Chisinau center and other part of the city with plenty minibuses, buses and trolleybuses. It's only 15-20 minutes by bus from here to downtown and the ride is deadly cheap.
The apartment has a double room and a twin room, a guest kitchen with a little balcony and the bathroom and toilet room. All main rooms are facing the West that makes it very light with a lot of sun in the first half of the day.
Apartment's facilities : 24 hours hot water, washing machine, free linen and towels, a well equipped guest kitchen, TV with video player, map of the area, map of Chisinau and of Moldova, travel information corner with books and leaflets about Moldova and it's sightseeing.
Our collection of English movies is modest, but contains some really good pieces: Carry on ..., Fawlty Towers, Scum, Transporting, Casino, Star Wars, Dark City, Reservoir Dogs, Catch me if you Can, Groundhog Day, GoodFellas, They Live. Monty Pyphon etc. We will appreciate any donation of an English movie on VHS or of a book in English that you may want to leave behind with us.
Specifics : Marisha and her family are living in Manchester, UK at the moment, so their parents are looking after the flat and their guests in Chisinau. You will be met by either Boris, Katherine or our guide Natalia when you arrive to the flat. Please, note that they do not live in the apartment all the time, so you should make proper arrangement regarding your arrival with us by email .
Rules : Anything within the limits of decent behavior in a foreign country and someone's house will be appropriate. Additionally, we'll ask our guest not to smoke inside the flat and to take their shoes off inside the apartment. There are carpets on the floors in each room and the cleaning is done regularly. Also, we would appreciate if you keep a low level of noise after 11 pm, to keep the neighbors content.
Costs : 10 EURO per person per night OR 15 EURO per night for a private room. Laundry service may cost some Euro to cover the costs of the detergents and maintenance of the washing machine (please, request when you arrive).
Getting around : best way is by public transport (buses, trolleybuses and minibuses). Minibuses are very frequent and fast. They run from early in the morning and until about midnight. The cost is 3 moldovan lei and should be paid to the driver when on the entrance. May be crowded on the rush hours (8 to 9 am and 6 to 7 pm). Buses and trolleybuses are usually larger and more comfortable. They stop at regular stops, so easier to use to travelers. Bus fare is 2 Lei and trolleybus fare is 1 leu. To be paid to the conductor on the bus. Taxis is very cheap in Chisinau, so you may consider it when coming back to the flat after midnight. Flag the cab on the street or order by phone. Cost to any part of the city is about 30-50 Moldovan lei.

NEIGHBORHOOD
Ciocana area with its wide boulevard
of Mirce cel Batrin. It's on the walking distance from our flat. You will
find loads of bars, restaurants, nightclubs on it.
Trolley bus is a green and cheap way
of transportation. Number 24 will take you to the downtown. The ride cost
is 1 Leu and will take about 20 minutes
Local 24 hours pizza place. They serve
food and cheap beer here. Usually packed with locals in the evenings.
Another 24 hours supermarket a couple
of minutes up the hill. Has a big range of food, a bank and exchange office,

Penalty sport bar is a local very
spacious sport bar with about 10 flat screens and loads of local fans.
