Negruzzi flat is a cozy 2 room apartment situated on Negruzzi boulevard in the center of Chisinau. We've got a very spacious double room with TV and a smaller cozier twin room here, a well equipped guest kitchen with a large balcony where our guests can have their meals and socialize and a bathroom with 24 hours hot water. It's a basic, but clean apartment in a lovely neighborhood.
The apartment block has a very convenient location being situated on the walking distance from the Train station, Central and Northern bus stations and connected by direct buses/minibuses to the airport and Southern bus station. We are close to Hotel National, Hotel Chisinau, Hotel Flowers, Hotel Cosmos and Manhattan and to Adresa letting agency. There are many supermarkets, local shops and markets, as well as, bars, restaurants, fast food and pizzas and night clubs nearby. Restaurants "Beer House" and "Veranda", shopping mall "MallDova" with Patria multiplex cinema and plenty cafe and restaurants are in our neighborhood. 24 hour exchange office and "Fidesco" supermarket close to the apartment block.
Apartment's facilities :
24 hours hot water, free linen and towels, a well equipped guest kitchen, cable TV with mainly Russian and Romanian channels (but some Romanian channels will show English documentaries and movies), washing machine.
Internet :
No Internet available in the flat. As one of our guests suggested there is a new cafe across the street that offers by far the best wifi in the neighborhood. Tea is only 15 lei. The place is called: Gelaterie Pennese and is located in number 5 Negruzzi boulevard. You can also pick up free wifi in the building's lobby at times. Or in the Beer House restaurant at the bottom of the building. They brew a very nice beer in this restaurant.
Hosts :
Katherine who is Marisha's mother with her partner Boris are the hosts of this flat and will be looking after our guests in Chisinau. They are 2 retired pensioners who live in Ivancea village 45 km from Chisinau. They are very lovely people, but unfortunately, none of them speaks any English, so do put the questions regarding your trip to Marisha via email prior to your arrival. We have a map of the area and instructions in English in the flat that will help you during your stay. By staying with Katherine and Boris you are helping to support these two retired pensioners in the difficult economic climate of Moldova. Thank you for choosing so!
Check in/Check out :
Check in time is 14:00 and Check out time is 12:00. If you want to leave the flat later in the evening or arrive to the flat earlier in the morning then an additional payment of 10 Euro is asked towards the total cost of your accommodation. We will be happy to let you stay later or arrive earlier with no additional charges if no other bookings for that day.
You will be checked in/out by the Russian/Romanian speaking host of the flat Boris. He is also our driver and can transfer our guests from/to the airport / train / bus stations. Our English speaking assistant and guide Tania will be around and at your services at most of the time. Please, note that they do not live in the apartment at all time, so you should email us in advance and let us know the time of your arrival or for the transfers.
Costs :
30-40 Euro per night for the whole flat depending on the season (for up to 2 persons living in the flat at one time). An additional charge of 10 Euro per night may apply if more than 2 persons are staying in the flat. Discounts available for off-season months and for a longer stay.
We may rent a private room for 15-20 Euro per night when the flat is available. Please, email Marisha to inquire about the availabilties.
Laundry service: Laundry is free. Washing machine should be used with the host of the apartment only to avoid breaking it. Please, buy your washing powder / conditioner as we do not provide any.
Getting around :
everything is within a walking distance from our apartment. You may want to use minibus/bus to get to the Southern bus station or to the airport. Minibuses are very frequent and fast. They run from early in the morning and until about midnight. The cost is 3 moldovan lei and should be paid to the driver at the entrance. May be crowded on the rush hours (8 to 9 am and 6 to 7 pm). Buses and trolleybuses are usually larger and more comfortable. They stop at regular stops, so easier to use for travelers. Bus fare is 3 Leu and trolleybus fare is 2 leu. To be paid to the conductor on the bus. Taxis are very cheap in Chisinau. Flag a cab on the street or order by phone. Cost to any part of the city is about 30-50 Moldovan lei.
