Chisinau / Kishinev orientation tour
A truly valuable service not to be confused with a "guided tour" for tourists. Normally done by myself or by my friend Natalia. We will introduce you to the following basic things about the town:
Public transportation: the logic of it, main systems, buying, bus and streetcar tickets, etc.
Taxi: understanding the price structure and negotiating taxi fares
Public phones: the little tricks to make them work
Exchange offices and ATMs for Maestro/Cirrus bankcards: this is to advise you the nearest ATM and exchange office. What a foreigner shouldn't do while exchanging money.
Where to shop AND NOT TO SHOP for food. Special requests welcomed. Throw as me exotic requests, and you may find that your favorite food can be found here.
Layout of the city. Staying oriented. This exercise consists of identifying places you know and using them as landmarks.
Survival Moldovan. Help compiling and remembering 8-12 key Moldovan phrases.
Figuring out the Moldovan interface in Internet cafes
Help in making a list of places to visit and things to do
Buying tickets for performances
Railroad and air tickets. No hassle, domestic prices, so you may save more than spend on my services.
Advice and assistance to travelers with special need.
Discussion of any other questions you may have.
